“In Flanders Fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below” .

In November, we commemorate Remembrance Day on the 11th of the month.
Canadian Legions are having a difficult time operating in an environment where their base membership is diminishing as our population ages together with a depressed economic situation that for many people is, to say the least, challenging.
We have an excellent mutual relationship with our Legion 240 and we strongly encourage our members who have not joined the Legion to consider joining, as new membership benefits both the Legion, the community and our club.
Also, support of their Poppy Drive this month would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Our Halloween Dress-Up concert was a great success with some innovative costumes accompanied by some great music. Congratulations to our best costume winners Gwen Gouchee (Phyllis Diller) and Al Cobbs (the Sheik of Araby).
